Texas Students Required To Watch Police Interaction Video
Students at public schools in Texas have a new homework assignment. An instructional video that teaches them how to interact with police.
It's a short 16-minute video that fulfills the requirement of a law passed last year called the Community Safety Education Act that requires teens be taught how to handle a traffic stop.
The video instructs teen drivers to do what the officer asks them to do and if you have to reach into the glove box you should let the officer know. The law came about after the 2015 controversy surrounding the arrest and jail cell death of Sandra Bland in southeast Texas.
