Usually the answer to the question "name the best pizza city in America" would be a toss up between New York and Chicago.  Think again.

TripAdvisor has put out a list of the best pizza cities in the country and coming in at number one was [wait for it]--San Diego?

Yep, they didn't rank the "style" but averaged the ratings of all the pizza places in the city.

So how did New York and Chicago? New York came in 4th, and (this is a big upset) Chicago didn't even crack the top ten. But here's an even bigger surprise--Austin came in 6th!

Here's the complete Top Ten:

1. San Diego, California

2. Las Vegas, Nevada

3. Boston, Massachusetts

4. New York City, New York

5. Seattle, Washington

6. Austin, Texas

7. San Francisco, California

8. Indianapolis, Indiana

9. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

10. Phoenix, Arizona

Check out Trip Advisor's complete list of the best pizza cities for more on the reasons why these cities ranked so high.

So what do you think of their poll? you agree, or disagree?  And where in Austin (or here in Killeen and Temple) is the best place to get a slice?
