Former Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo missed the cut at the AT&T Bryon Nelson, his third PGA Tour event. He is yet to make it to the weekend.

His round did have its moments, including a chip in Eagle from 66 feet out on the par-5 7th on Thursday- see below. But it was an inconsistency that held him back, with birdies and bogeys throughout the rounds.

He finished 8-over and beat out seven pros, three of which withdrew due to injuries. Three injuries in golf, yikes, Romo's probably played in football games with fewer injuries.

The broadcaster won't be off the links for long, he'll be competing in the local qualifiers for the U.S. Open. Something the 39-year-old has tried before, maybe this will be the year he breaks through. But if not, his second career as a color analyst is going just fine and many would miss him out of the booth.
