Earlier today,  The Temple Police Department put out a press release regarding a suspect they now have in custody for aggravated robbery.

According to police shots were fired last night in the 1300 block of S. 17th St. in Temple

While at the scene of the crime officers were informed about a 17-year-old male victim who suffered a head wound and other injuries.

Police say he was approached by several masked individuals while parked on the roadway. Shots were fired at him as he attempted to leave the scene.

Attempting to leave the victim crashed their vehicle into a light pole before running to a house in the 1800 block of S. 11th St.

Police found a vehicle with heavy damage, blood on the driver's seat, bullet holes, and a deployed airbag. They determined after investigating that Reginald Brown along with another 17-year-old male and two other suspects were at his house before the shooting.

After receiving a search warrant police collected evidence linking him to the shooting and he was arrested and charged with aggravated battery, the other juvenile suspect was transported to the juvenile detention center
