In Texas, you go big or you go home. The Dr. Pepper Museum in Waco has the proof Saturday as it celebrates its 35th anniversary.

The Waco Skyline Gets a New Addition

The skyline of downtown Waco is about to gain a massive new landmark as the Dr. Pepper Museum prepares for a monumental celebration. To mark its 35th anniversary, the museum will debut the World’s Largest Dr Pepper Bottle on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

A Monumental Birthday Surprise

Standing a staggering 23 feet tall, the fiberglass sculpture is set to become a permanent fixture in the city where the iconic soda was originally formulated in 1885. This historic addition was made possible by a generous donation from the Hillman Family Foundation, dedicated in honor of Cornerstone Caregiving.

A Festival for the Fans

The "Birthday Bash" festivities are scheduled to run from 10:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Saturday, with the official unveiling taking place directly in front of the museum at 11:00 a.m. The day looks to be a busy one with many different activities scheduled.

Elite Giveaways

Attendees have the opportunity to win incredible prizes, such as a year's supply of Dr Pepper, free Whataburger for a year, and exclusive James Avery bracelets adorned with a custom Dr Pepper charm.

Local Flavors

The event features complimentary samples from beloved Texas brands, including Blue Bell Ice Cream, Fuego Tortilla Grill, Helados La Azteca, and, of course, the signature soda itself.

Family Fun

The campus will host a variety of interactive stations, from face painting and a themed photo booth to specialized games for children.

Plan Your Visit

Museum officials anticipate a massive turnout for this historic day. Because the event coincides with the museum's 35th year of operation, timed entry tickets are being sold to manage the crowd. While VIP ticket holders will receive exclusive early access to the 23-foot landmark, all guests are encouraged to secure their admission in advance via drpeppermuseum.com.
