Waco’s Homestead Fair Has Been Moved To This Weekend

Waco Homestead Fair is happening this weekend.

Usually the Homestead Fair is held the weekend after Thanksgiving, but with the cold and wet conditions Central Texas has experienced this past week, it was postponed.

With a new date set for Saturday, December 5, the organizers are ready to have some fun.

The event has multiple outdoor activities, food, shops, and crafts vendors, all available for guests to enjoy.

The fair takes place at 608 Dry Creek Road in Waco. There'll be craft demonstrations and shopping, live music including a children's choir, a sheepdog demonstration, horse-drawn hayrides, apple cider pressing, candle dipping, and so much more for your family to do and experience together.

There'll also be seminars on how to create many of the crafts and home goods you'll see on display, as well as ways to live a more sustainable lifestyle and do more things for yourself.

You can also watch a barn raising and tour some of the historic buildings on site, including a restored gristmill from the 1760's.

There'll be plenty of activities and crafts for children as well, so your entire family can enjoy the day and learn some new skills.
