This is the most Texas thing you will see today.

I would love to have a beer with Mattress Mack (real name Jim McIngvale). Not that the two of us are going to agree on sports. He’s a Houston sports fan and I’m a fan of all of the Dallas teams. But, that’s okay.

He seems like such a cool guy that I’m sure there are plenty of other things we could bond over.

As I mentioned earlier, Mack is well-known for his Houston sports fandom. And he laid down some big money on his Astros to win the World Series and won a record-setting $75 million, according to Chron.

Now, he didn’t bet it all in one place, so he’s been making the rounds collecting his dough. He recently made a stop at BetMGM, who tweeted a video of him hauling $10 million in a wheelbarrow.

The best part of it all is that he’s giving his winnings back to customers as part of a promotion. Mack made a deal with his customers to double their money if they spent at least $5,000 during the promotion.

If I were in the market for new furniture, I would have gladly made the trip to Houston to take him up on his offer. While I’m not the biggest gambler on the planet, my money would have been on the Astros winning it all. As much as I hate to admit it, to me, they looked like the best team in Major League Baseball all season long.

Remember Wichita Falls Baseball Team, The Spudders?

The Wichita Falls Spudders were a minor league team that operated right here in Wichita Falls, Texas for decades. We decided to take a look back on some old school moments from our former team here.
