I went to Goodwill over the weekend and I couldn't help but scope out all the VHS tapes they had. I saw so many movies that I grew up watching on repeat. Remember when you had to manually rewind your movies? As I was looking around I saw a movie that scared me so much as a child I gasped. Remember when Kirk Cameron released the "Left Behind" movie series? I was 8 years old when I watched "Left Behind" for the first time. The movie series was considered the "biggest and most ambitious Christian film ever made." what they left out was that Little Krystal would be living in fear that she would miss out on the second coming of Jesus and she'd earn the mark of the beast.

Growing up in a super religious family it was a movie we watched often, that's when I found out what anxiety was. I became so obsessed with the rapture that once my sister and I had a meltdown thinking the rapture had happened and we were LEFT BEHIND TOO! We couldn't find our mom in our house. We had looked everywhere, all we saw were folded clothes and her shoes. Forgetting she was in the garage doing laundry we went in full on panic mode. We were convinced that our messy rooms and talking back meant Jesus wouldn't let us into heaven and the government was coming to take us away! Luckily our panic attack only lasted 10 minutes before my mom walked up on two little red faced teary eyed girls arguing about whether we should call the cops.

From seeing Ursula in "The Little Mermaid" to Kirk Cameron's "Left Behind" my imagination always got the best of me and my night terrors. What is a movie that freaked you out as a child? What about it freaked you out? We would love to laugh with you. Tell us in the comments below!
