The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for Bell County today.

Winds are expected to be between 20 and 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph at times. It's all part of another cold front moving through Texas as we approach the weekend.

Remember to keep an eye out for lawn furniture and garbage cans today as the wind will likely try to toss them around your yard or out into the street. Strong winds can also make driving on highways challenging especially for 18-wheelers traveling through high winds.

It wasn't that long ago that significant power outages occurred in mid-November during a wind advisory that packed a similar punch. Winds back on November 18th caused power outages in Cove, Killeen, and Temple when wind gusts increased to near 40 mph.

Afternoon temperatures are expected to be in the upper 30's and lower 40's across Central Texas.
