Woman Charged in Tow Truck Driver’s Death Released from Jail
On May 11, 2017, Scott Bowles, 39, was retrieving a vehicle from the side of 190 when he was struck by a minivan. One of his legs was amputated, and he later passed away.
The suspect, Sybil Warrick, was arrested on May 2, 2018, in Fort Smith, Arkansas and extradited to Bell County Monday. Bowels was walking from his tow truck to the vehicle being recovered when he was struck by Warrick who was traveling westbound on 190 in a minivan near Nola Ruth Bridge. Bowels passed away at Seaton Medical in Harker Heights later that morning.
Warrick has since been released from the Bell County Jail on her own recognizance. She was indicted on May 2nd for criminally negligent homicide.
