The saying "you are what you eat" means so much more to us the older we get, and the more we become concerned about what we put into in our bodies. In my opinion, you should  look for keywords like organic, fresh, farm raised, wild caught, pressed, local, and just pretty much anything that helps you avoid buying processed or artificial foods that take up most of the space in the supermarket.

It’s just something about tasting honey right off the comb versus eating honey out of a jar that’s been shipped and packaged to Texas for me. You can taste the  difference in homegrown food and spices. I like the idea of authentic - no artificial substitution for anything when eating my food. So that is why I try my best to attend the Killeen's farmers market, which is hosted by Kim's Seasonal Sweets.

The farmers market event it is located 2201 E. Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Killeen every Tuesday from 3PM to 6PM. The market will be located at the  Killeen Park and recreation parking lot.

You get to see some of the most  fresh organic fruits and vegetables that you have ever seen in your life .You can literally taste the difference with each bite. I love the fact that I can get actual local honey from here as well when going organic.

Personally, my body feels better when I eat fresh and local. I’m a big believer that your body is a temple, and the farmers market is the best place to get supplies for your temple.

So get out to the farmers market and try some new things. You may fall in love with the market like I did.
