Free lunches will be provided to all students in the upcoming school year for the La Vega ISD.

Our partners at News 10 report that for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year, La Vega Independent School District will be offering meals to children served under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program.

That's right: no charge, and the collection of meal applications for free, reduced-price and paid student meals will not be required for any school operating under the Community Eligibility Program (CEP).

With all that's going on and so many people out of work, this takes away at least one burden for families and also school administrators, and allows all students to receive a nutritional breakfast and lunch under this program.

No applications will be required for Free or Reduced lunches for the up coming 2020-2021 school year.

Free meals will be provided to all La Vega ISD students.

I think this is great, and maybe we'll see other Central Texas ISD's look at ways they can do the same thing for their students.
