UPDATE: Dallas police say Chasity has been found safe. KXAS-TV reports that the stolen vehicle was found not far from the scene of the crime, and the little girl was found safe inside.

A statewide AMBER Alert has been issued for a little girl who was inside a car when it was stolen in Dallas early Wednesday morning.

3-year-old Chasity Collins was last seen in a white, 4-door 2009 Lincoln MKZ sedan with Texas license plate JJT5997. She has black hair and brown eyes, weighs 85 pounds, and stands 3'0". She was last seen wearing a short sleeve shirt (police did not know the color of the shirt), gray tights, and no shoes.

If you spot the car or this little girl, please call the Dallas Police Department at (214) 671-4268 or dial 9-1-1. The case number is 169450-2020.

According to police, the car was stolen from the parking lot of a 7-Eleven in the 2400 block of W. Ledbetter Drive in Dallas.

KXAS-TV reports that Chasity was left alone in the backseat of the car with the engine running around 12:30 AM Wednesday. The child's mother reportedly left Chasity in the vehicle while she went into the store.

Yes, this happened all the way up in Dallas. However, there's no telling where the thief drove to or what their intentions were, and since we're along the I-35 corridor, it's entirely possible that someone here might spot the car or Chasity.

Let's hope this little girl is found safe.
