Bad Beat Poker Face

Pride is a fickle fickle beast.  I saw this on the internet today and it really got me thinking.  This guy takes a horrible beat in this hand of poker.  For those of you that don't know all about poker, what really happened was that there were three cards in the deck that could beat him.  Meaning any other card, other than those three would have made him win.

Poker is a game that even if you have the best hand it can still be beat.  A game of odds, risk and reward.  When I saw this clip it made me start to think about life.  I'm going to get a little philosophical, so partake, or just scroll down to the clip and enjoy it for what it is...

Sometimes in life you can do everything that you need to do to be successful and still fail.  There are always variables that are out of your control.  Sometimes the best thing you can do is try to make the right decisions, be the best person that you can be, and then let it go.  People will come in and out of your life that will hold a certain level of contempt for you regardless of if it is valid or not, and it is up to you to control how you react to them, and not allow them to control you.

Life is a series of successes and failures.  No matter who you are and what you do there will be both in your life.  Enjoy the ups and ride out the downs.  Understand you can't control others and will only make your day worse by trying.  Remember always that the bad times make the good times that much sweeter.  Don't waste any days being upset.  If you don't love what you do, then do something else.  Life is too short.

Enough cliques... Enjoy this dude talking trash and having the rug pulled out from under him.  Its funny how after he takes the bad beat everyone at the table is quiet...
