Saying goodbye to a loved one can be tough for anyone in the Central Texas area. But for one funeral home in Belton, Texas, major questions remain for 20 boxes of remains. Mainly, which family do the remains belong to?

How Did The Funeral Home Obtain These Boxes?

As reported by KWTX, these boxes were considered lost but Crotty Funeral Home made an effort to obtain them and try to see if they could reunite them with their families. As stated by Jarrah Crotty to the news organization:

“There were people that were missing persons, they were reported missing, and we have them. There just needs to be something done about the process of dealing with this in our county."

One box has the remains of unknown babies, while others are reaching almost a decade in being lost, with certain boxes being not taken by families since 2018. So, is there anyway for somebody to see if there family is missing a deceased relative?

How Can One Get In Touch With The Funeral Home?

To find out if one of the boxes belongs to your family, one in Central Texas has to simply call the funeral home. The number is 254-933-0900. In addition, they posted a list of the individuals on Facebook for people to see.

The reasoning for this is very simple, as Crotty told KWTX:

“I just can’t stand the fact of people not having someone. Everyone of those people had a life and everyone of those people had someone that loves them."
