More information about the story I wrote on March 11th has been released in regard to the Belton teacher that was accused of engaging in sexual activity with a student. A report from Fox44 News in Waco released some of the details of the arrest affidavit for Demeny.

Teacher Arrested for Alleged Child Sexual Assault

According to the affidavit, Logan Michael Demeny was arrested on March 10th for allegedly sexual assaulting a child. The child was a 14-year-old girl, and the abuse is reported to have lasted over a year. The alleged sexual assault began during the girl's 8th grade year at South Belton Middle School.

Victim's Forensic Interview Reveals Year-Long Abuse

The girl was given a forensic interview by the Child Advocacy Center in Belton. She informed the investigators that she would go to an apartment in Belton where she was allegedly the victim of statutory rape when she was 13 or 14 years old.

Evidence Presented: Apartment Photos and Instagram Messages

She told the investigators that the sexual assault occurred over ten times over the course of a year. She was able to provide pictures of the apartment from her phone as well as conversations between the accused and herself on Instagram.

As the investigation continues more details will become available, and we will provide updates when possible. If you have any information that could be related to this case, please contact the Belton Police Department at (254) 933-5840.
