Casino Cruise Ship Opens in Galveston

A trip to Galveston now means you can enjoy Jacks or Better Casino! It's brand new to the Galveston Yacht Basin. 

KHOU reports that once the cruise ship is 9.1 miles off shore and in federal waters, guests can gamble at slot machines, table games, and sports betting.

Tickets cost $15 bucks. Jacks or Better Casino General Manager Rocky Herrin told KHOU, "They get to go out there and laugh, let their hair down, gamble, drink, eat, karaoke. Things you really can’t get in a normal casino."

Each cruise is about six hours long and leaves the port twice a day Wednesday through Saturday. Daytrips depart at 11am. Night time cruises depart about 6:30pm. A Sunday cruise is available from 1pm to 7pm.
