Salvation Army In Bell County Texas Need Your Help
There is an immediate need in the Killeen-Temple, Texas area for personal hygiene items. This is your chance to help several people at one time. The Boys and Girls Club of Central Texas Youth Advisory Council is holding a donation drive to benefit the Bell County Corps of the Salvation Army.
What items are needed?
According to Kids Health, there are several steps to maintaining good personal hygiene in children and teenagers. Here's a list of many of those needs courtesy of Old Mt. Pleasant Dentistry: Bathing regularly, washing hands with soap and water, washing your hair, brushing hair and getting regular haircuts, brushing teeth at least twice per day, flossing at least once per day, shaving regularly as needed.
Knowing what needs to be cared for gives us a nice list of the biggest needs like: Shampoo and Conditioner, Deodorant, Toothpaste, Floss, Hand Sanitizer, Shaving Cream and Razors, Facial Cleansers, and Hairbrushes.
Please don't forget female hygiene items for menstrual cycle needs.
Where can I make my donations?
The Boys and Girls Club Youth Advisory Council has made this part as simple as possible. They will be collecting donations from 11am until 2pm on Saturday, February 25th at the Walmart on Lowe's Blvd, 1400 Lowes Boulevard, Killeen, TX. You can literally show up with nothing, go inside, purchase what you would like to donate, and then drop it off on your way back to your vehicle.
Be honest, you probably have some errands to run this weekend anyway, and you'll be in the area. Please help dozens who need it most with a modest donation.
