In case you were listening to the radio, you might have lost a few stations Friday night.

KXXV is reporting that Temple Fire and Rescue responded to a downed power line/arcing transformer in the area of West Adams and NW HK Dodgen Loop.

It seems a car hit a power pole wire, or the tension cable. The wire broke then made contact with the transformer on the power pole causing the outage.

Oncor said that 2,754 customers in Temple were affected by the outage. That include Townsquare Media and all it's radio stations.

The power came back on around 9:30 p.m.

Big Q was also affected. He had to get dressed in the dark and go back into work. Amazingly he put his shirt on correctly. Can't say the same for his underwear. Frightening.

There's nothing like the feeling you get in a dark radio station. Silence is deadly in this business, and 5 stations going off the air is very scary in it's silence.
