Did You Know The First Texas Roadhouse Wasn’t Actually In Texas?
Many in Texas love the eatery known as Texas Roadhouse.
After all, with a name like Texas Roadhouse, and living in the Lone Star State, a resident might have to love it. But the love for the restaurant isn't just in the state, it's known nationwide. Many businesses dream of being known across the nation of course.
All businesses of course have a starting point. For Texas Roadhouse, it started with one single in eatery in 1993, according to Yahoo. But there's something rather interesting about that first location of the eatery.
What could it be you ask? Well...ironically it's where the location was itself.
Texas Roadhouse's First Location...Wasn't In The Lone Star State?
Yes, it is indeed true. Texas Roadhouse's first location wasn't in the Lone Star State. So...where was it? Thanks to Yahoo, we know the answer.
None other than the state of Indiana was the home the first ever Texas Roadhouse. It's exact placing, per Yahoo, was the Green Tree Mall. The mall is located in the city of Clarksville.
Yahoo revealed that W. Kent Taylor was the man behind the beginning. Slowly but surely, he was able to grow the one restaurant in 600 restaurants. Simply incredible growth to say the least.
Still, this is kind of hard to believe right? A chain bearing the name of Texas wasn't actually started in the Lone Star State. It would be kind of worrying if Whataburger was started in another state though right?
