Craig Chamberlin, a soldier from Fort Cavazos, had been missing for some time. According to KWTX, Chamberlin had not been seen since May 15th of 2023. An extensive search began to hopefully locate where Craig was located.

Details of Craig's Disappearance

Individuals last saw Craig on the previously mentioned date of May 15th, 2023 leaving his residence, according to KCEN. His wife, Cameron Chamberlain, was the one that alerted others to his disappearance. Officials with Fort Cavazos also stated that they believed Chamberlin "willfully absented himself from the Army."

On May 25th, 2023, it was reported that Cameron Chamberlin unexpectedly passed away, with no information about her passing being available at the time of writing.

Cameron also stated to KWTX, before her passing, that being on post had changed who he was:

"When I met him, he was a carefree, loving, laid back person. He didn’t have a mean bone in his body...He had no hate in his heart. He was a happy man. And (Fort Cavazos) and his leadership completely destroyed him.”

Discovery of Craig's Location

KWTX reports that Craig was found on May 26th of 2023 around the time of 5:40 PM. Craig's mother stated that "Because of the search it led us to the right place, we did find our son. He is alive."
