Forty-minute Police Chase in Waco
A forty-minute police chase took place this morning in Waco. It all ended a little before 11 am with the driver and passenger being taken into custody, our news partners at KWTX report.
It all started when a Waco police officer spotted a silver Kia Rio which had been reported stolen. When the driver failed to pull over, other Waco officers and McLennan County deputies followed in the pursuit.
They sped throughout a handful of neighborhoods in Waco as well as parts of Bellmead. The drivers can be happy school is out, because those school zone fines can be a little hefty. Yikes.
It reached a point where spike strips were laid down at least once in an attempt to end the chase.
East 11th Street and Business Hwy. 77 just north of South Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard is where it all came to an end, and no law enforcement or suspects have been reported injured.
