Free Walk Up COVID-19 Testing in Harker Heights August 6
UPDATE: City officials have updated the registration link for the drive-through COVID-19 testing scheduled for Friday.
Testing will once again be done by appointment only, so please register ahead of tieme at texas.curativeinc.com/welcome.
Testing will be conducted from 8 am to 5 pm at the First Baptist Church, 100 East Ruby Road.
If you believe you may be sick, please wear a mask, practice proper hand hygiene, and give everyone around you plenty of space to help slow the spread of the virus.
The City of Harker Heights will host a free walk-up COVID-19 testing clinic Thursday, August 6 from 8 AM to 4 PM.
Testing will be conducted at the First Baptist Church, 100 East Ruby Road.

Tests will be conducted by appointment only, so please be sure to register yourself and anyone who needs to be tested before you arrive.
Testing will be done on folks displaying the following symptons:
- Fever and/or chills
- Cough (dry or productive)
- Fatigue
- Body aches/muscle or joint pain
- Shortness of breath
- Sore throat
- Headaches
- Nausea/vomiting/diarrhea
- Nasal congestion
- Loss of taste and/or smell
Organizers ask that you do not eat, drink, or use mouthwash for 20 minutes before they swab you.
In an email, Assistant City Manager Jerry Bark wrote that drive-through testing would be conducted on Friday, August 7 from 8 AM to 5 PM. A registration link for that testing will be released either later today or tomorrow. We'll update this article with that link once it's available.
