Gatesville Youth Pastor Charged with Sexually Assaulting a Child

An area youth pastor was arrested Friday and charged with two counts of sexual assault of a child and one count of indecency with a child.

According to our news partner KWTX, 32-year-old Wil Jackson was taken into custody during an interview at the Coryell County Sheriffs Department Friday morning. Details about the alleged offense have not been released, but the charges reportedly stem from an incident that happened a decade ago with a girl in her mid-teens and did not involve any children in the church.

Jackson is a youth minister and bus driver at Coryell Community Church in Gatesville, where his wife serves as the children’s minister. According to the church’s website, Jackson has been with the student ministry since 2004.
