Giving Tuesday is upon us, and it's hitting the CenTex hard.

The Pink Warrior Angels of Texas, which is a non-profit that provides financial and emotional support to those diagnosed with cancer, gathered Saturday to kick off a series of acts of kindness.

The team prepared over 70 care kits for those who are experiencing chemo. The kits included hydrating lotions, lemon drop candy, words of encouragement, and restaurant gift cards which will be dropped off to hospitals on Tuesday.

Giving Tuesday began in 2012 with a goal to make generosity go viral. To keep with the challenge checkout the hashtag #GivingTuesdayMilitary.

If you'd like to get involved and volunteer with Pink Warrior Angels, check out the Volunteer page on their website. They do so much great work to bring comfort, encouragement, and strength to our friends and neighbors battling cancer, and if that sounds like your calling, they'd be happy to accept your help.
