Governor Greg Abbott has ordered that Texas schools remain closed until Monday, May 4.

Our partners at News 10 report that Tuesday's executive order from the governor also extends social distancing guidelines through April 30.

Local school districts have had to adjust to closures by offering online learning tools, as well as printed packets of educational material.

Killeen ISD offers these materials through their Continued Learning Center. Their COVID-19 response website contains all the information parents and caregivers need to ensure that students continue their education while not physically present at school. Grab-and-go meals are still available as well. More information on those meals is available here.

Belton ISD's online educational materials are available on their extending learning website. The district continues to provide grab-and-go meal options. See locations and requirements here.

Temple ISD's COVID-19 response website contains information parents and caregivers need to continue student education at home. Grab-and-go meal information can be found here.

Troy ISD has announced a change to their grab-and-go meal program. Beginning April 1, meals will be distributed at Mays Elementary School, 725 West Main Street. More information can be found here. Information about their remote instruction programs can be found here.
