H-E-B Kicks Off Feast of Sharing Season in Temple
The H-E-B Feast of Sharing began with light snowfall in central Texas last night as hundreds of people gathered at the Mayborn Convention Center to welcome the holiday season.
The feast moves to the Killeen Convention Center on WS Young Drive on Tuesday, December 12th. Dinner starts at 5 PM on Tuesday evening.
We wanna thank H-E-B for allowing us to MC this special event each year. And we would also like to pass along our thanks to the hundreds of volunteers who make the evening possible.
The H-E-B Feast of Sharing started in 1989 in Laredo, Texas, and has grown to 33 locations that serve more than 250,000 meals to folks throughout Texas and Mexico. More than 5000 meals are prepared for the feast and include:
- 1,250 lbs of glazed ham
- 60 gallons of brown gravy
