H-E-B Named Top Grocery Retailer In U.S., Take That Trader Joe’s
Everyone in Texas knows how great H-E-B is and now everyone else in the good ol' U.S. of A will too.
The global leader in customer data science, dunnhumby, released the third annual dunnhumby Retailer Preference Index (RPI) - a study that examines the huge United States grocery market. The RPI study surveyed 7,000 U.S. households to determine which of the top 60 largest grocery retailers have the strongest combination of financial performance and consumer emotional sentiment, and H-E-B came out on top.
Now the correct verbiage is grocery 'retailer' over 'store' because businesses like Amazon qualify, making H-E-B's win all the more impressive.
The reigning champ, Trader Joe's, came in second place.
Here are the other retailers with the highest scores: 2) Trader Joe’s, 3) Amazon, 4) Market Basket, 5) Wegmans Food Markets, 6) Costco, 7) Aldi, 8) Sam’s Club, 9) Walmart, 10) Publix, 11) WinCo Foods, 12) Fresh Thyme, 13) Sprouts Farmers Markets, 14) ShopRite.
Now, remember H-E-B is only in Texas and Northern Mexico, so beating out these national giants goes to show how loyal Texans are.
Texas is taking over. First America, then the world!
