Keep hydrated and take plenty of breaks this weekend. The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Bell Country until 7pm on Sunday. High temperatures in Central Texas this Saturday and Sunday will reach 99 to 102 degrees outside, with Heat Index values reaching near 108.

Check on neighbors and any elderly residents nearby as they are the most susceptical to heat stroke. Keep extra water out for your pets, and make sure no one waits in an enclosed vehicle as temperatures can quickly reach dangersous levels.

Take extra breaks if your working or playing outside today. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear light clothing and drink extra liquids to stay hydrated.
