Houston, Texas law enforcement officers responded en masse on Saturday evening to a 911 call by a 15 year old male that warned he was planning on immediately killing someone or himself after allegedly ingesting large amounts of marijuana. After the 15 year old hung up with the 911 operator, the dispatcher reached back out the the home where the call originated, and spoke with the child's mother who did not seem to be alarmed, and believed nothing was going on to raise concern.

According to this KVUE article, it was actually members of the Houston Fire Department that arrived on the scene first, and they pulled up to see the suspect holding a gun, and he pointed the firearm at the first responders before throwing the gun at them.

Texas Teen Now Charged With Getting High And Shooting Family

Members of the Houston Police Department were able to locate the teen after running away, and he was taken into custody. His mother was shot multiple times in the back, and his older sister, who is just 17, was also shot multiple times.

Both women were transported for immediate surgery, and were listed in "very critical" condition following the shooting. Needless to say that not only are they very fortunate to be alive, but another sibling, a 16 year old girl, was also in the apartment at the time of the shooting, and thankfully she was unharmed.
