Holland, Texas is a beautiful farming community and is honestly one of my favorite places in Bell County because the town represents the population center for the entire state of Texas. Since this is the 51st annual Holland Corn Festival, that leads me to believe the very first one debuted a year before the bicentennial of the United States in June of 1975.

I have to make a full confession, I have never attended the Holland Corn Fest, but that all changes this year because our youngest is finally 3 and half, so we are finally in a position as a family of five to participate. I can already tell you the Saturday morning parade at 10 AM will be the highlight of the weekend for my three little ones, but they are also some sweet corn loving monsters, so we expect them to get their fill.

Giovannie and the Hired Guns & Tanner Usrey Headlining Holland Corn Festival

This year's musical line up, in my opinion, is the best it has been in my family's time living in Central Texas. If you have not had a chance to catch rockers from Stephenville, Giovannie and the Hired Guns, last in the area at Johnny's in Salado two years ago, or Prosper native Tanner Usrey, then you are in for a real treat.

The massive two days of live music aside, there are still so many fun activities to enjoy, and the best part is all kids 12 and under are free when they attend with an adult.
