Issues On A Flight From Vancouver, British Columbia On Its Way To Houston
As reported by Click2Houston, an intercontinental flight recently had issues while in the air:
The issues on the flight from United Airlines stemmed from 25 people aboard the plane becoming ill. Click2Houston also stated that the fire department from Houston reported nausea. 75 of individuals on the flight were reported to have gone on a cruise recently.
Following the landing of the airplane, passengers were then held onboard. The reason was simple, the CDC had been brought out to the airport.
CDC Is Brought Out To George Bush Intercontinental Airport
Per James Snell, a individual on the plane in question, the pilot stated they weren't allowed to leave the plane when they landed:
“He [the pilot] got over the speaker, but he came out to us and he said, ‘Hey, in my 25 years of flying, I’ve never seen anything like this. We have been quarantined by the CDC. Nobody can exit the plane until the CDC lets us off.’”
Snell also stated that “As soon as you got off, you got mobbed, wanting to know if you had any symptoms and did you want to be triaged." Due to unknown sickness individuals were affected by, the plane is set to be thoroughly cleaned.
Click2Houston also made attempts to get comments from CDC, FAA, Houston Fire Department and United Airlines regarding any information about the unknown cruise, but no comment was given. As this is a developing story, we will have more information when it becomes available.
