Lakeway, Texas Police Looking Into Graffiti With Anti-Semitic Views

Recently in the city of Lakeway, Texas, graffiti was found that seemed to promote anti-semitic views. Here's what is known at the time of writing.

Graffiti Begins Appearing In Lakeway, Texas

As reported by KXAN, incidents involving graffiti began in April of this year. Specifically, April 7th was the first instance of the images reported to officials of the city. Following the initial report, six other occurrences have been alerted to police.

The latest report acquired by KXAN details graffiti that is alleged to look like Nazi swastikas. Per the news organization, the images in question were located at an outdoor bathroom stall, retention wall, subdivision entrance, and an additional report of the graffiti appearing on a vehicle.

City's Response To The Alleged Anti-Semitic Graffiti

At the time of writing, the images have been covered up, which was reported by the Mayor of Lakeway, Tom Kilgore. He also stated to KXAN:

“For those who consider doing similar acts in the future, we will remain vigilant and will not tolerate vandalism or hate of this nature. We will pursue the proper punishment to the extent the law allows."

Initial investigations have also revealed that the mayor do not believe any type of organization is behind the images. Lakeway isn't the only currently dealing with the issue, as the University Of Austin is also dealing with this issue as well.
