Police Looking Into Why Child Was Discovered Alone In Texas Walmart
An unidentified young child was recently located alone in Wichita Falls, Texas Walmart alone. Here's what is known at the time of writing.
Initial Findings In Case
As reported by Texoma's Home Page, law enforcement was alerted to the spotting of a child an hour after a Walmart closed at 11 PM in Wichita Falls. The unidentified young boy was found to be walking around the store. Per the employees of the business, the child told them that he was in the shopping area with his mother.
The young boy also told the employees that his mom went to the bathroom, leaving him alone. After his mother did not return from the restroom, the boy began to search around the store for her. He did not locate her, and was unsure of how long he had been searching.
Texas Police however, found that the boy's mother may have never been at the Walmart in the first place.
Police Look At Store's Video Cameras
Texas police, when looking at the camera, weren't able to see the mother in the store. Instead, law enforcement saw video of the child by themselves in various parts of the shopping area. The young boy did continue to tell officers he came to the area to with his mother after said discovery.
Additional video surveillance from outside the store showing the young boy walking to it from a Panda Express close to it around 7:45 PM.
At the time of writing, no arrests have been made. As this is a developing story, we will have more information when it becomes available.
