Texas Firefighter Goes Below And Beyond to Rescue A Sweet Kitten  

With all of the bad news in the world today it is nice to come across endearing stories like these, especially when they further highlight our country's superheroes, the ones that don't wear capes.

We need more feel-good stories in the news!

This feel-good story comes right out of Texas when Texas firefighters went below and beyond (so to speak) when he rescued a sweet kitten in distress stuck inside a 30 foot drain pipe!

Firefighters don't just rescue kittens from trees! 

A hero story right out of Vidor Texas!

When the team of firefighters in Vidor got a call regarding a distressed kitten stuck in a drain pipe along the road next to a local Walmart. they knew they would need to act fast as time was of the essence, especially because of the heat wave most of Texas is experiencing. It would not take long for a crying kitten to get dehydrated and perish.

You can read the details on the Orange Couty EDS 1 Facebook page, but the bottom line is that the rescue of the sweet, albeit very muddy kitten, was nothing short of a miracle!

In the photos above you can see that the Vidor firefighters had to work together to climb 30 feet into the drain hole to grab the kitten. How it got into the drain hole is a mystery, but thankfully its cries were heard in enough time to save its life.

However, that's not the end of this awesome story...
