Killeen Police Looking for 2 Suspects in Attempted ATM Theft
Two men stole a pick-up truck and then attempted to use the vehicle to steal an ATM.
According to post from the Killeen Police Department, on Tuesday at approximately 4 AM, authorities were alerted about an ATM being broken into in the 3200 block of E. Central Texas Express Way.
The two suspects stole a 2002 Ford F250 from the driveway of a home in the 3800 block of Sunflower Dr. before they went to the strip center where the ATM was located. The victim reported the stolen truck around the same time frame of the attempted ATM theft. The thieves attached a hook to the truck and attempted to remove the ATM, but were unsuccessful. The suspects can also be seen trying to open the machine with hammers and crowbars.
The truck was later found abandoned nearby.
Police believe that both thieves are males. One man was dressed in a red hooded sweatshirt with white stitching, light colored pants and gloves. The second suspect is wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with light colored pants.
