A woman accused of attacking another woman in Killeen was arraigned Tuesday on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

21-year-old Karena Antoinette Dupree has been jailed on $100,000 bond after police say she slashed the victim’s arm with a knife back in June. The assault came after the victim saw Dupree approach her car in the 4900 block of John David Drive in Killeen. Believing Dupree intended to scratch the vehicle and slash its tires, the victim confronted Dupree who then allegedly slashed her across her arm.

A Killeen police officer met with the victim on June 19 at Metroplex Hospital and observed an inch-long gash along her arm. The officer then went to the residence where the attack took place and observed a blood trail leading from front entrance of the home to the sidewalk. According to an arrest affidavit, a witness saw Dupree slash and punch the victim.

Dupree was arraigned Tuesday on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
