Killeen Woman Charged with Injury to a Child

Leeellen Rios of Killeen has admitted to abusing her six-week-old infant after the baby was found to have 31 fractures and injuries.

KWTX reports Rios told police she would squeeze the baby tightly in her arms and repeatedly pulled him by the arms, legs, and by placing her body weight on the baby's arms and legs. She now sits in the Bell County jail on a $200,000 dollar bond for injury to a child.

Nurses reported the injuries to police at McLane Children's Hospital back on February 5th. Rios told police she lived in a home with her in-laws and two siblings. The child's grandparent told police that Rios was the only person who was ever alone with the baby since it's birth.

Rios told police she was the only person who hurt the child and that she "needed help".
