Kyle Texas Is Looking for People Named Kyle to Break World Record

Is your name Kyle? Do you know someone named Kyle? If so, Kyle, Texas needs you.

There's a city along Interstate 35 south of Austin, and just north of San Marcos, named Kyle, Texas. If you've ever traveled through the Texas Hill Country, you may be well aware of Kyle. The city is known for their excellent dinning featuring "true southern 'comfort' food", plus a few other things.

One of the big events happening in Kyle each year is their Kyle Pie in the Sky hot air balloon festival they hold on Labor Day. For this year's festival, Corridor News reports they want to break a Guinness World Record for most people named Kyle all gathered together in one spot.

Believe it or not, there is a Guinness World Record for most people with the same first name in one spot. It happened in Bosnia and Herzegovina in July of 2017, when over 2,300 Ivans showed to set the record.

Kyle, Texas has tried to beat the record several times but can't seem to gather enough Kyles to top the record set by Ivans. Well, this is the year of the Kyle! If your name is Kyle, or you know a Kyle, the world of Kyles needs you on Saturday, Sept. 4 at 10 AM.

All Kyles who show up get free entry into the Kyle Pie in the Sky Hot Air Balloon Festival and a free t-shirt. But your name has to be spelled K-Y-L-E on your ID - otherwise it doesn't count towards the world record.

So, let's shout out all Kyles and get this done!
