During such a bleak period of life, it's nice to know that we still have Betty White.

Betty, who is most notably known for her roles on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Golden Girls, is turning 99 years old this weekend.

Betty was born on January 17, 1922. Just 99 years later, Betty is still around bringing a smile to the faces of fans. This past year we've lost so many people, whether it be a friend, family member, acquittance, or celebrity, and we all felt the harsh impact of COVID-19.

Those who could be more at-risk to the coronavirus have taken extra precautions to stay safe, including Betty. According to a report from the LA Times, Betty White has been quarantining inside her home, and her rep told Today that, "no one is permitted in (her home) except those who must.”

For Betty's birthday this year she will remain quarantined, but is excited to continue feeding two ducks who visit her daily.

I'm ecstatic that Betty and her team are diligently working to ensure her health and safety. Change can be hard and sometimes scary and with the world "falling apart", and we need someone like Betty to remind us just how beautiful life can be.
