Little River Academy, Texas has been adjusting to quite a lot of changes over the last few years, and some of those changes is the population boom that has required a new school to be built and a lot of new activities to complement that growth. Some people do not support 7 versus 7 Texas football because other than using the same ball and a few other pieces of equipment, the game is nothing like what we are used to watching on Friday nights, or on collegiate Saturdays, and even pro football Sundays regardless of how soft that game has gotten.

I will admit it took me a minute to get over the look of 7 on 7 football because every player on the field looks like they are wearing a baby's bonnet with a pacifier sticking out of their mouths due to wearing soft helmets and mouthguards being a requirement for a single hand touch game that does not allow blocking or much of any contact really. It is basically playing tag with a football, and the only way to advance the ball is with a forward pass.
