Local Man Gave Child STD in Sexual Assault Case
News 10 is reporting that a Central Texas man was indicted Wednesday for aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Carlos Maurice Husband, 33, of Killeen, was arrested in November for sexual assault of a child. The child contracted an STD because of the repeated assaults.
The victim told a forensic interviewer at the Williamson County Child Advocacy Center that, "Husband had touched her in her private area beginning when she was 8 years old," said the affidavit.
KWTX said, "A forensic examination by a sexual assault nurse examiner showed that the girl had contracted chlamydia, the affidavit says. The girl told the SANE nurse that 'it happened a ‘lot of times,’ the affidavit says. Husband lived with the girl’s mother from April 2017 until May 2018, the affidavit says."
Husband is currently in the Bell County Jail with a $150,000 bond.
There has been no indication of how long Husband's jail sentence will be.
