Magnolia Ready to Drop $10.4 Million for Expansion
Magnolia Market at the Silos is getting a re-vamp!
You may have thought downtown traffic was bad before with the 30,000 tourists that come in each week, but trust me when I say you ain't seen nothin' yet.
Yahoo News reports that Chip and Joanna Gaines are ready to drop some major moola, but first, they're requesting $1.1 million dollars from The City of Waco for public improvements to the two-block area encompassing the Silos. The request will be considered by the Tax Increment Financing Zone Board on Thursday.
The Waco Tribune-Herald reports that the "The Magnolia Master Plan" additions will include a whiffle ball field, gardens, various shops, a Magnolia Homes Furniture Showroom, and even a relocated historic Waco Church. There'll be splash pads for the kiddos, and added lighting for safety and extra charm.
Have you visited the Silos? What did you like or dislike? What would you improve with the grant?
