In a 90's movie called 'The Chase', walking Petri dish Charlie Sheen kidnapped Kristy Swanson with a candy bar tucked in his pocket, claiming it was a gun.*

This story reminds me of that, only I didn't have to waste 80 minutes I'll never get back.

KFDA-TV reports that a suspect entered an Allsup's convenience store in Plainview around 1:30 AM Friday and poked the clerk in the back with a blunt object, which the clerk believed to be a gun.

Now that's just cold.

The report doesn't say what he stole, but I'm guessing it wasn't a carton of Blue Bell.

So, what do you charge a guy with if he uses a kitchen gadget to rob a place? Plainview police say you charge him with aggravated robbery. Their reasoning: "the clerk was placed in immediate fear of death or serious bodily injury".

Plainview's pretty far away, but on the off chance that someone reading this knows anything that might help investigators find the suspect, here's how you can get in touch with Crime Stoppers: 806-293-TIPS (8477).

Here's the scoop: the suspect was described as a Hispanic man with a goatee standing around 5'6" and weighing between 160 and 180 pounds. He was wearing a red and black flannel shirt, blue jeans, and a dark colored cap.

*(I know Charlie Sheen kidnapping an actress with a candy bar sounds like it may have actually happened, but I assure you it was just a movie.)
