McLennan County Announces Stricter Orders Due to COVID-19
McLennan County will be imposing stricter limitations on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to our news partners at KWTX, McLennan county has approved stricter limitations for restaurants and public gatherings. On Thursday, county commissioners updated the previous order and public gatherings will now be limited to 10 people
Previously, the order allowed the gathering of up to 50 people, but due to rising cases of COVID-19, McLennan county has decided to update the order.
Dine- In restaurants have also been ordered to only sell food for drive through, take-out, or delivery for another week. Bars, lounges, and clubs are to remain closed to prevent the spread of the virus. Gyms, fitness studios, movie theaters, and amusement parks will also remain closed.
Violations of the order could result in a class C misdemeanor and fines up to $1,000.
