Killeen Woman Releases Pit Bull on Robber
Killeen authorities are investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred Tuesday night.
According to Tianna Jenkins and our news partner KWTX, the call was originally reported as a shots fired incident in the vicinity of the 1300 Second Street.
When police arrived, they learned that a man was attempting to get into someone's home and commit a robbery, but the owner of the home was fighting off the potential thief.
The woman who lived in the home released her pit bull on the suspect. Authorities say the man was attacked by the dog fled.
The man was arrested a short time later on Florence Street in Killeen. The man faces attempted aggravated robbery charges, and the homeowners were not harmed in the incident.
