It's truly amazing what a college football coach can earn in this day and age. Tom Herman, who was not on a winning streak by anyone's criteria, leaves U of H for UT and a payday of $25 million.

According to UT which publicly divulged the details of its deal with Herman - what a nice thing for a public institution to do - the coach will resume his Longhorns career at $5.25 million a year with an annual bump of $250,000 a year provided he does enough to keep the job.

You know this is not the end of the story. Either Herman does phenomenal, is able to demand a hefty raise and gets it, or he sucks and they run him off faster than you can say "Charlie Strong."
