Police Identify Two Killed in Temple Shooting
The Temple Police Department has released the names of two people killed in a shooting Tuesday night.
Temple police responded to a call of shots fired in the 1000 block of S. 29th St. Tuesday at 8:03 p.m. The first officers to arrive reported hearing additional shots as they exited their cars. As they approached the scene, they found three people a woman and two men with a number of gunshot wounds outside of a home.
The woman, identified as 30-year-old Shamara Henry of Killeen, was pronounced dead at the scene. The two men were transported to Scott and White Hospital where one, 30-year old Quista Henry of Killeen, was subsequently pronounced dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was in possession of a handgun when officers arrived at the scene of the shooting.
The second man remains hospitalized with serious injuries.
The Temple Police Department General Investigations Unit continues to investigate the shooting.
