From now until February 28th, a rare opportunity to see four of the planets in our solar systems in a line with the naked eye, and the other three planets will be aligned and visible with the use of a telescope.

This event, which is called the "planet parade" will make it possible to view Mercury, Mars, Venus, and Jupiter, without the need of any assistance. Just look up into the night sky, and you will be able to see them shining bright. You will get a bonus viewing of Saturn, Neptune and Uranus if you have a telescope. Saturn will be the most difficult to view due to its position on the horizon.

Having planets line up isn't necessarily rare, as it can happen at least once a year. Four of the planets will align wants again in August, but being able to see all of them at the same time (even with the use a telescope) is a very rare event.

While, scientifically, there isn't anything spectacular about the event, the "planet parade" will certainly get people in the astrological community very excited. Planetary alignments are thought to provide a boost of energy while also having an effect on our emotions. Some people believe that the events provide an opportunity amplify your energies in meditation, manifestation, and understanding one's true purpose.

This week you will definitely want to keep your eyes to the sky no matter what your interest in the heavens are. It's going to be a very cool event to see whether you're interest in it is scientific, spiritual, or you just think that the night sky is beautiful.
