Round Rock Junior Grabs a Perfect SAT Score
Congrats on a job well done for a Round Rock High School junior who got a perfect score on the SAT.
According to a report from the Austin American-Statesman, Arnav Chopra scored a perfect 1600 on the SAT test he took back in March. Arnav's parents were the ones who told him of the news.
"My parents both came into my room acting like I had done something wrong, so of course I was scared that I was in trouble," Arnav told the Statesman
It turns out Chopra's dad just couldn't contain his excitement and had to check on his son's score earlier that day. Chopra says he was "absolutely blown away" and "just couldn't believe it" when his mom and dad shared the news with him.
Chopra credits Khan Academy for the help in getting the perfect score. He says they offered a program that tested him on questions he missed in the PSAT so he could better prepare for the real thing.
Of course, Chopra says his parents were the biggest inspiration, and really pushed him when he needed it.

The SAT tests is what a lot of colleges across the country use to help decide if a student's application will be accepted or rejected.
Sounds like Chopra will have the pick of whatever college he wishes to attend in the future. He's undecided at the moment, but says he wants to attend a nationally ranked school or an ivy league school. However, he also wants to stay close to home, and says he's likely to major in something that involves science.
So, how hard is it to score a perfect 1600 on the SAT? Officials said that he is only the third student in the district to get a perfect 1600 on the SAT, with the last perfect score happening in 2019 and a perfect score in 2017.
Way to go, Arnav!
